I help dentists protect their practice by strengthening financial oversight and accountability — so they can lead with integrity and confidence.

For nearly 30 years, I’ve worked alongside dental and healthcare practices to bring understanding to the business side of their practice — helping owners see clearly where they are, where they’re vulnerable, and how to protect what they’ve worked so hard to build.

I didn’t start here by accident.

After working in corporate America, I began consulting with professional practices and quickly realized something that surprised me — many doctors didn’t truly understand the financial health of their own practice. They were working hard, trusting their systems, trusting their people… and often missing what mattered most.

That realization shaped the direction of my work.

I began developing practical, understandable systems that create accountability between practice management software and financial reporting — not to complicate things, but to bring clarity and control back to the practice owner.

But everything changed the day a trusted employee stole from a doctor I had worked with.

He trusted her. He believed everything was fine. And it wasn’t.

That moment stayed with me.

It’s what led me to become a Certified Fraud Examiner and deepened my commitment to helping practices not just recover from financial loss — but prevent it entirely.

Today, my work focuses on helping professionals uncover vulnerabilities, strengthen their systems, and build practices grounded in integrity and accountability. Not through theory, but through real-world experience — the kind that comes from seeing what happens when things go wrong, and knowing how to keep them from going wrong in the first place.

I’ve authored 47 books for professional practices, including Money In, Money Out and Managing Accounts Payable in Your Practice, and have had the privilege of contributing to American Dental Association publications and initiatives. I’ve also been recognized by Dentistry Today as a Leader in Consulting for over 20 years.

But if you ask me what matters most, it’s not the titles or the credentials or the kudos.

It’s the people.

It’s the conversations after a course where someone says, “I had no idea… but now I know what to do.”
It’s the practice owner who finally feels back in control.
It’s helping someone protect what they’ve spent years building.

Because at the end of the day, this work isn’t just about numbers.

It’s about trust.
It’s about responsibility.
And it’s about choosing — every day — to do what’s right.

When I’m not deep in financial systems or fraud investigations, you’ll find me walking Arlington’s most beautiful street, attending a Rangers game, watching tennis, or serving my community in Arlington, Texas. I’ve had the privilege of serving on the Arlington Convention & Visitors Bureau Executive Board and chairing the Arlington Arts & Tourism Council.
